250 quid for the final day of the Ryder cup is pretty decent. Although fuck knows as said how much you'll end up spending on transport or accommodation.

Yes I’m going.
Hospitality last day which was E1250 for 17th & 18th and all in food and drink.
Am heading out on the Wednesday before to play on the Thursday morning and spend few days on the piss beforehand.
Flights out are good but flights back are very expensive. £600 one way to London on the Monday so am going to travel up to Naples and come back from there.
You are late for hotels as they are all heavily booked by now so will probably have to stay outside the city or cough up.

"Do you see much when at the course? "
yes, I went to the 2010 Irish open in killarney. first two days watched various groups and players then the final two days stick with ross fisher for every hole who went on to win it. what helped was harrington playing great and you could hear the roars from a couple of holes in front each time he made a birdie. paidraig must have had a few thousand following him that day

Branded, if you go to a regular 72 hole stroke play event, you can see an awful lot. Especially the first two days before the cut. Really is an all day affair. Some groups don't even tee off, until post 3.00 - 4.00pm
You can park yourself on the course somewhere and watch tee shots, approach shots , putts etc. Follow one group round the course if you wish, or change your viewing location. There are of course galleries, where you can sit and watch the golf on and around a green.
When I go (which is rare), I mix up what I do, viewing wise in the day. To say nothing of the tented village, where you can spend a fortune if not careful.
I've been to The Open twice, but I've also been to a bog standard seniors' tour event. Found the latter more enjoyable. Still excellent golf, but less crowded, easier access to and from the course, no queues for food and booze and get closer to the players. Sill an amazing standard of golf.
Going back to my Ryder Cup post earlier, there's even less golf on the first two days, with half the matches being alternative shot foursomes, so effectively only as much golf in those as 4 singles matches (completely different dynamic to singles of course).

Do you see much when at the course? I like playing golf but would never go and watch other people play it.

Congrats Leroy.
Got an invite a while a go, to go in the ballot, which I didn't, as for for the tickets available, they were €400+.
At least the last day, there's a bit of golf, the 12 singles matches. 1st two days, only 8 games a day. That makes the tickets seem pricey, not a lot of golf to watch.

I don't think that's too expensive for what it is. You can pay a ton for a PL game.
